24-Inch (7+ yr. old)
The T-Rex 7 encourages younger riders to progress their skills on singletrack. It's constructed of sturdy hi-tensile steel that'll hold up to kids learning to ride. A 1 x 7-speed drivetrain features an easy-to-operate twist shift and plenty of gearing to tackle the hills. Powerful linear-pull brakes and junior-sized components ensure every ride is maximum fun.
When your kiddo is serious about keeping up with the bigger kids (or schooling you on the trails), it's time for KHS's XC 24. It's lightweight 6061-alloy frame has 100mm of travel front and rear, powered by an an RST fork and an X-Fusion rear shock. The 24-inch double-wall alloy rims, wrapped in trail-grabbing Maxxis tires, are sized just right for smaller riders. The streamlined 11-speed SRAM NX drivetrain will have them beating you up the climb, while Tektro hydraulic disc brakes scrub speed reliably on the way down.
This is the real deal. Like your little ripper, the Scout 24-inch can’t wait to ride. Agile trail geometry means you may soon see this bike only from the rear. It’s perfect for developing trail skills. The Scout is dialed so kids can whip this bike around and have it handle well under the most aggressive riding.
